Problem-Dumping,

For version 3 of LMC, I wanted to build on a more solid foundation. I began by dumping everything that came to mind about the problem I want to solve – a kind of problem-dumping. The resulting list was massive: covering primary and secondary education, online courses, general knowledge acquisition, learning methods, and more. But it was far too broad and unfocused.

Ultimately, the problem and the target group must be much more narrowly defined. I decided to focus on one specific case, to avoid the project growing out of control. I need to start small: solve one clear problem for one clearly defined group. Not attempt to build my ideal – a universal learning app that replaces school itself.

My focus is on the learning platform brilliant.org.

– It targets adults, students, and professionals in STEM fields – computer scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and so on.
